Hours

Given our shoestring staffing model, we sometimes need to close unexpectedly for various reasons. When we do, we post a sign on the door and make a blog post.

• Our beloved office administrator, Cade, is on chemo until mid-July. As such, we will open on Tuesdays after chemo concludes. We cannot control the oncologist's schedule; we try to open by 11:30, but could open as late as 1 p.m. We apologize for the inconvenience.
• From July 8 to August 26, we will open at 11 a.m. on Mondays. We have agreed to a delayed opening to accommodate a special weekly karate class for students with special developmental or emotional needs. This is a pilot program through Fourth Form Martial Arts Center, and we're happy to cede the hour to help a vulnerable population to thrive.

We close for the weather when Wyoming Public Schools closes.

Scheduled non-holiday closure dates for Summer 2024 include:

• Friday, July 12: Staff retreat.
• Friday, July 26: Family vacation day.

We are closed on Sundays, select civil/Catholic holidays, and planned business inservice days. The 2024 calendar of closures includes:

• New Year's (01/02 Jan 2024)
• Good Friday (29 March 2024)
• Memorial Day (27 May 2024)
• Independence Day (Long) Weekend (04/05 July 2024)
• Assumption of the BVM (15 August 2024)
• Labor Day (02 September 2024)
• Feast of All Saints (01 November 2024)
• Grand Rapids Comic Con (the Thursday and Friday of the convention in November)
• Thanksgiving Weekend (27/28/29 November 2024)
• The End of the Year (closed the two weeks of Christmas and New Years – closed 12/23 to reopen on 1/6/25; this closure helps us to recharge, deep clean, plan for the new year, and reconcile inventory)

For literary events and writers' groups, we cheerfully open our doors on days and times outside of our normal operating hours, provided we have advance notice of the intended activity.
